Detection and response
Someone is watching, and it is us
Managed security services with people watching, not just software alerting
Security tools generate alerts. Somebody has to read them, decide which ones matter and act in minutes, at 2 a.m. on a holiday, because that is when attackers work. Canada Create™ managed security services give Canadian businesses that capability without hiring a security team: 24/7 monitoring of endpoints, identities, email and cloud, analysts who investigate and contain threats, vulnerability management that keeps the gaps closed, and a monthly report that an owner or a board can understand.
What managed security includes
Managed detection and response (MDR)
Endpoint detection and response on every laptop, desktop and server, identity monitoring for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, email threat protection and cloud log monitoring, all feeding a security operations centre where analysts triage alerts around the clock. When something is real, we isolate the device, disable the account or block the sender, then tell you what happened and what to do next.
Vulnerability management
Continuous scanning of your external and internal assets, prioritized by exploitability rather than raw scanner scores, with patching coordinated with your IT provider or handled by us. What a penetration test finds once, vulnerability management keeps finding and closing every month.
Dark web and credential monitoring
Monitoring for your domains, executive names and employee credentials in breach dumps and criminal marketplaces, with forced resets and MFA checks when a leak appears. Most account takeovers start with a password that was already for sale.
Email security and phishing defence
Advanced filtering, impersonation protection, DMARC, SPF and DKIM enforcement so criminals cannot send as your domain, and a report button that routes suspicious messages to our analysts.
Backup and ransomware readiness
Verified, immutable backups with tested restores, so a ransomware event becomes a recovery exercise rather than a negotiation.
Incident response
A written plan, a named contact and a team that responds when something goes wrong, including containment, investigation, breach notification guidance under PIPEDA and provincial law, and coordination with insurers and counsel.
Built for small businesses and regulated organizations
A 25-person accounting firm and a 400-seat SaaS company need the same protection at different scales. For small and mid-sized businesses, managed security replaces the security hire you cannot justify and satisfies the questionnaires your larger customers and your cyber insurer send. For healthcare, legal, financial services, public sector and technology organizations, it provides the continuous monitoring, logging and evidence that PHIPA, PIPEDA, SOC 2, PCI DSS, ISO 27001 and OSFI expectations require, with reports mapped to those frameworks.
What you see every month
A one-page executive report: threats detected and contained, vulnerabilities opened and closed, phishing attempts blocked, credential exposures found, backup test results and the risks we recommend addressing next. Behind it, the full technical detail for your IT team or auditor. No jargon, no vanity metrics, and a quarterly review call with the people who actually run your security.
Managed security pricing
Managed security is priced per user or per device on a monthly agreement, with onboarding quoted separately. The price depends on how many people and systems you have, which components you need and what compliance reporting you require. Tell us the size of your organization and what you need to prove, and you will have a written proposal within one business day. Most clients start with a cyber security audit so onboarding begins with a clear picture.

Managed security questions
What are managed security services?
An outsourced security team that monitors your systems around the clock, investigates alerts, contains threats, keeps vulnerabilities closed and reports to you monthly, for a fixed monthly fee.
What is the difference between MDR and antivirus?
Antivirus blocks known malware on a device. Managed detection and response watches behaviour across endpoints, identities, email and cloud, and has analysts who investigate and respond to what the software cannot decide on its own.
How much do managed security services cost in Canada?
Pricing is per user or per device per month, depending on the components and compliance reporting you need. Every program is quoted in writing within one business day.
Do we still need our IT provider?
Usually yes. Your IT provider keeps systems running; we keep them secure and coordinate patching and fixes with them. We can also work alongside an internal IT team.
What happens when you detect an attack?
Analysts contain it immediately, isolating the device or disabling the account, then investigate, tell you what happened and guide next steps including any breach notification obligations.
Is this enough for SOC 2 or PHIPA?
Managed security provides the monitoring, logging and response controls those frameworks expect, with reports mapped to them. Our compliance consulting covers the rest of the program.
Can you monitor Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace?
Yes. Identity, email and file activity in both platforms are core parts of the service, since most attacks now start with a compromised account.
What is dark web monitoring?
Continuous checking of breach dumps and criminal marketplaces for your domains and employee credentials, with forced resets and MFA checks when something appears.
How quickly can you onboard us?
Most organizations are fully monitored within two to four weeks, including deployment and alert tuning.
Does managed security help with cyber insurance?
Yes. Insurers commonly require endpoint detection and response, MFA, backups and monitoring. Our reports answer their questionnaires directly.

Attackers wait inside networks for weeks before they act
The difference between an incident and a disaster is how fast someone notices. Make sure someone is watching.
