Canada Create™ is the Markham SEO company for owners who want search to produce calls, bookings and quote requests, not a pile of ranking screenshots. We plan and run SEO for local businesses and for firms that sell further afield, and every engagement starts with a written review of where you stand and what to fix first. Our SEO services have been refined since 2008 across Canada and the United States, and the method is simple to explain: fix what stops Google reading your site, build one strong page for each service you sell, strengthen your Google Business Profile, earn real links and track every enquiry back to the page that produced it.
This page explains what the work includes, what it costs, how long it takes, how search is changing with AI answers and how to choose an agency. If you already know you want a plan, ask for one. You will get a proposal in one business day.
What our SEO services include
Every engagement is built from an audit, not sold as a package. The audit tells us which searches bring buyers to businesses like yours, which of your pages Google already trusts, what is holding the site back and how your Business Profile compares with the businesses that appear above you. From there the work falls into seven areas, and the written plan says which of them matter most for you and in what order.
Keyword and page map
We list the services you sell and the searches buyers use to find them, then match each search to one page on your site. When two pages chase the same search, Google often ranks neither of them well, so the map removes that overlap before any writing starts. Gaps become a short, ranked list of pages to create or rebuild, with the ones closest to page one at the top.
Technical SEO
Speed on phones, indexing, redirects, duplicate pages, broken links, internal linking and structured data. These fixes come first because good content cannot rank on a site Google struggles to crawl or understand.
On-page optimization
Titles, meta descriptions, headings, copy and internal links on the pages that bring customers, rewritten so each page clearly answers the search it is meant to win.
Google Business Profile and local SEO
Categories, services, hours, photos, posts, questions and a review request process your team will actually use, plus consistent business details on the directories that matter.
Content
Service pages and supporting articles written from the questions your customers ask, checked against the pages that rank above you today.
Authority
Links and mentions earned from associations, suppliers, partners, sponsorships and industry publications. We never buy links from networks or unrelated sites.
Tracking and reporting
Calls, forms and bookings from organic search and your Business Profile are tracked separately, so you can see which pages produce customers. You get a plain report and a review call every month.
How local search decides who gets the call
Google has said publicly that local results are shaped by three things: relevance, distance and prominence. Relevance is how well your profile and website match what someone searched. Distance is how far your business is from the searcher or from the place named in the search. Prominence is how well known and trusted the business appears, based on reviews, links, mentions and the strength of your website.
Two sets of results sit on most local searches. The map pack shows three businesses with their ratings, hours and a call button, and it is driven mainly by the Business Profile. The organic results below it are driven by the website. A plan that works on only one of them leaves customers on the table. We work on both, and we tell you honestly which one matters more for your category.
Distance is the factor you cannot argue with. A business with a storefront or office will appear most strongly in the map pack close to its address, and less often the further away the searcher is. Service-area businesses such as trades, cleaners and mobile services can set the areas they genuinely serve, and then support those areas with useful content and real project examples. What we will never do is set up a virtual office or mailbox to fake a local address. Google suspends those listings regularly, and a suspended profile costs far more than it ever brought in.
Map pack work that holds up
For many local businesses the Business Profile produces more calls than the website, so it gets real attention every month rather than a one-time setup.
- Categories. The primary category has a large effect on which searches you appear for. We compare yours with the businesses in the top three and adjust where the evidence supports it.
- Services and descriptions. Every service you sell is listed, in the words customers use, with a clear description.
- Hours and details. Hours stay accurate through holidays, and your name, address and phone number match everywhere they appear online.
- Photos and posts. Real photos of your team, premises and work are added regularly, and posts highlight services, offers and news.
- Questions. Common questions are answered on the profile so buyers get what they need without leaving the results page.
- Reviews. A simple, consented request after every job or appointment builds a steady flow of reviews, and every review gets a prompt, professional reply. We never write fake reviews or offer incentives that break Google rules.
Service pages that answer buyers before they call
The pages that rank best for commercial searches are usually the ones that answer the buyer most completely. Before writing, we gather the questions people ask from the People Also Ask boxes, related searches, your team and your incoming enquiries, then read the pages that currently rank to see what they leave out.
A strong service page explains what is included, who it suits, how the process works, typical timelines, what affects the price, where you work and why a customer should choose you. It shows real projects, cases or examples where you have permission to share them, and it makes the next step obvious with a quote form that works on a phone and a number that can be tapped to call. Supporting articles answer narrower questions and link back to the service page they support, without competing with it for the same search.
We do not create near-identical pages for every street and neighbourhood nearby. Pages like that rarely rank, add nothing for readers and can weaken the rest of the site. A separate area page is worth building only when there is a real location, real work or enough demand to justify original content.
Technical SEO that removes the ceiling
Technical problems quietly cap how high a site can rank, however good the writing is. We check crawling and indexing, speed on real phones, redirects, duplicate and thin pages, structured data, internal links, image weight and how the site behaves after years of plugins and redesigns. Where a site has been rebuilt more than once, we map old addresses to their current pages so no earned authority is lost.
Fixes are made directly on WordPress, Shopify, Webflow or custom platforms and confirmed in Google Search Console rather than assumed. Because our web and SEO teams work together, a fix that needs a developer does not sit in a queue for weeks.
Authority earned the honest way
Links still help Google decide which businesses to trust, but only links from sites that have a real reason to mention you. The strongest ones for a local business usually come from relationships you already have: business associations and boards of trade, industry bodies, suppliers and manufacturers, partners who refer work, community organizations, charities and events you support, and local media that cover your work. Technology and B2B firms add partner directories, integration marketplaces, conference pages and industry publications.
We start with links you have already earned offline but do not yet have online, which is often the fastest win. Then we plan outreach for the rest. We do not sell link packages from sites you cannot see, and we do not buy links from networks built to game rankings.
Is SEO still worth it in 2026?
For most businesses that sell to people who search before they buy, yes. Search is still where buyers go when they have a problem and money to spend, and an organic ranking keeps producing enquiries without a charge for every click. What has changed is where the answer appears and how it is chosen.
Is SEO dead now with AI?
No. Google AI answers and assistants such as ChatGPT build their summaries from web pages, and they lean on pages that state clear facts, answer questions directly and are trusted by other sites. Those are the same qualities that help a page rank. The work has shifted toward short, direct answers near the top of the page, facts that can be checked and structured data that describes your business, which is how we write.
What is replacing SEO?
Nothing is replacing it outright. The idea is widening from ranking in ten blue links to being visible wherever people search, including AI answers, maps, videos and assistants. Some people call this answer engine or generative engine optimization. In practice it rests on the same foundations: a site Google can read, pages that genuinely answer questions, a strong Business Profile and a reputation other sites confirm.
Will SEO exist in five years?
Nobody can promise what search will look like, and any agency that claims to know is guessing. What is reasonable to expect is that people will keep looking for businesses they can trust, and that search tools will keep rewarding clear, accurate and well-cited information. Work that builds those things holds its value even as the interface changes. Tricks aimed at one algorithm do not.
How much should you pay for SEO services?
SEO with Canada Create™ starts at CAD 1,500/month for a local business with one location and a focused set of services in a mid-competition category. Larger or more competitive engagements are quoted in writing after the review, so you know the fee and the scope before you commit.
What moves the price is the size of the gap between your site and the pages above you. The main cost drivers are:
- Competition. Categories where the top businesses invest heavily in content and links need more work each month to catch up.
- Number of services and locations. Each service that brings revenue needs its own page, and each location needs its own profile and local signals.
- Site condition. A site with serious technical problems or years of thin content needs more repair before new work can pay off.
- Content volume. How many new pages and articles the plan calls for each month.
- Authority work. How much outreach and digital PR it takes to earn the links your category requires.
Be careful with very cheap monthly plans. SEO done properly takes skilled hours every month, and low fees are often covered by automated reports, bought links or content that does nothing. Also keep SEO separate from ad spend in your budget. If you run Google Ads alongside SEO, the management fee and the money paid to Google are two different lines, and both should be written into your quote.
How long SEO takes to bring enquiries
Technical fixes and Business Profile improvements often show within the first few months. New service pages usually need longer to settle, and categories where the top results are well funded take longer again. Pages already sitting on page two usually move first, which is why we improve those before writing anything new.
You should not have to wait months to know whether the work is on track. We report leading signals every month, such as impressions in Search Console, positions for the searches you were already close on and calls from the Business Profile, so you can judge progress early and hold us to it.
Choosing an SEO agency in Markham
Directory rankings, awards and badges are easy to find on agency sites. They tell you who applied or who paid, and not much about what will happen to your business. These questions are more useful when you compare providers:
- What would you change first on my site, and why? A good agency can answer specifically after a short review.
- Which searches will you target, and how did you choose them? You want buyer searches that lead to revenue, not vanity terms.
- Who does the writing and the technical work? Ask whether it is done in house or passed to someone you will never speak to.
- How will results be reported? Look for calls, forms and bookings, not only rankings.
- Who owns the website, content, Business Profile and analytics? The answer should be you, always.
Be cautious of guaranteed ranking claims, fixed link packages and plans to build pages for every neighbourhood in the region. Google itself warns against anyone who promises a first-place ranking.
Reviews matter too. Our Google reviews are pulled live onto this page, so you see exactly what clients have written, unedited. Canada Create™ is a BBB Accredited Business with an A+ rating, and you can call our 24/7 toll-free line at +1 (800) 808-9235 to talk through your situation before you commit to anything.
SEO for B2B and technology companies
Companies that sell across Canada or further need a different plan from a neighbourhood clinic. Their buyers search for specific problems and solutions and rarely add a city name, so the priority is solution and product pages built around those problems, technical content such as integration guides and comparisons reviewed by the company experts, case studies published with permission and authority from industry publications and partner directories.
These companies usually still need one Markham page that confirms where they are based and captures local searches, while national pages carry the main load. We plan both from one keyword map so they support each other instead of competing. Pages also need to support long sales cycles, with demo, trial and consultation paths, and careers pages that help with hiring are often a search opportunity in their own right.
SEO for clinics, professional firms and home services
Clinics
Dental, medical, physiotherapy, optometry and other clinics compete within a small radius, and patients often choose between the three businesses in the map pack. Treatment pages that explain each service clearly, practitioner profiles with credentials, direct billing information, online booking and a steady flow of reviews carry most of the weight, all written within the advertising rules of the relevant regulatory college.
Professional firms
Accounting, legal and financial firms follow a similar pattern with a longer decision. Detailed service pages, professional profiles, useful articles that answer real client questions and reviews that mention specific services build the trust these buyers look for before they book a consultation.
Home services and contractors
Renovation companies, HVAC contractors, plumbers, roofers and landscapers win on urgent and seasonal searches, service-area relevance and reviews. The priorities are a page for each service, accurate hours, a service area set to where crews actually work, photos from real jobs, quote forms that work on a phone and fast call handling. Seasonal pages, such as furnace repair before winter, are published a season ahead so they are ready when demand arrives.
SEO, your website and paid search together
SEO works best when the website underneath it is fast, clear and built to convert. If your site is slow, dated or hard to use on a phone, fixing that first often does more than any amount of new content, and our team handles web design in Markham projects with SEO built in from the first wireframe.
Paid search brings enquiries from the first week and shows which searches actually convert before months are invested in ranking for them. SEO lowers the cost of each enquiry over time. Many clients run both from one keyword map, then reduce ad spend on searches where they already rank well organically. If you want SEO, ads, social and your website planned as one program, see our work as a digital marketing agency in Markham.
Every enquiry, whether it comes from organic search, ads or your Business Profile, can flow into CS+, our CRM, so leads are followed up quickly and you can see which channel produced each customer.
What the monthly report shows
Each month you receive a short report built around enquiries rather than jargon. It covers organic calls, forms and bookings and the pages that produced them, positions for the searches in your plan, Search Console impressions and clicks, Business Profile activity and new reviews, and the work completed and planned for next month. Your accounts stay in your name, so you can check every number yourself. If something is not working, the report says so and explains what we are changing.

SEO questions from local business owners
What does an SEO company in Markham do for a local business?
It makes your business easier to find and easier to choose. That means fixing technical problems, building a strong page for each service, improving your Google Business Profile, earning real links and tracking the calls and forms that result.
How much does SEO cost?
Local business SEO has a published starting fee shown in the pricing section. Competitive or multi-service plans are quoted in writing after the review, based on competition, the number of services and locations and the condition of your site.
Is SEO still worth it?
For businesses whose customers search before they buy, yes. An organic ranking keeps producing enquiries without a charge for every click, and it supports every other channel you use.
Is SEO dead now with AI?
No. AI answers are built from web pages and favour pages that are clear, factual and trusted. The work shifts toward direct answers, checkable facts and structured data, which is how we write.
What is replacing SEO?
Nothing outright. Visibility now includes AI answers, maps and assistants as well as regular results, but it rests on the same foundations: a readable site, useful pages, a strong Business Profile and a good reputation.
How long does SEO take to work?
Technical and Business Profile improvements often show first. New pages take longer, and competitive categories take longer again. We report early signals every month so you can judge progress.
Do you have an office in Markham?
No. Our office is at 126 Willowdale Ave., Suite #3, Toronto. We work with clients by phone, video and email, and you are welcome to visit the office.
How do you set expectations for results?
Nobody controls Google, AI assistants or social platforms, so we commit to a written plan, the work in it and honest monthly reporting on what it produces.
How do we get started?
Ask for a proposal. A strategist reviews your rankings, Business Profile and competitors and sends a written plan with the first fixes and a fee.
