Salesforce consulting
Salesforce Consulting
Salesforce consultant services for Canadian businesses: edition selection, Sales Cloud and Service Cloud implementation, migration, integrations, Flow automation and training.
Salesforce can model almost any business, which is why the process has to come first. We scope the edition you need, design the data model, security and pipelines around how you sell, build automation your administrator can maintain, connect your website, phone and finance systems, and train each role before go-live.

Salesforce consulting guide
The complete guide to Salesforce consulting and implementation
Executive summary: Salesforce can model almost any business, which is exactly why a Salesforce implementation without a clear process behind it becomes an expensive system nobody trusts. Canada Create™ has built websites, lead systems and CRM workflows for businesses across Canada and the United States since 2008, and we consult on Salesforce alongside HubSpot, Zoho and our own CRM, CS+. This page explains what a Salesforce consultant does, when Salesforce is the right platform for a Canadian business, what a proper implementation includes, the integrations and automation that make it useful, the privacy rules that shape the build, what drives cost, and how the work is quoted.
What a Salesforce consultant does
Salesforce consulting is the work of translating how a business wins and keeps customers into objects, fields, page layouts, permissions, flows and reports in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud or Marketing Cloud, then connecting the surrounding systems and training the people who will live in it. A Salesforce consultant scopes the edition and licences you need, designs the data model and pipelines, plans migration from your current CRM, builds automation with Flow rather than code wherever possible, configures dashboards for each role, and stays through launch to remove friction. The consultant also says when Salesforce is more platform than you need, and recommends a lighter tool instead.
When Salesforce is the right CRM
Salesforce fits growing and mid-sized companies with several teams, territories or business units, complex permissions, multi-step approvals, and finance or operations systems that need two-way integration. It suits organizations with a dedicated administrator or the budget to have one managed. It is usually more than a small team needs: for one to twenty users with a single pipeline, HubSpot, Zoho or CS+ deliver a working system faster and at lower total cost. We put the platform recommendation in writing after discovery so it can be checked against your requirements.
Editions, licences and the Canadian context
Salesforce sells Sales Cloud and Service Cloud in Starter, Pro, Enterprise and Unlimited editions, and the edition decides which automation, customization and API limits you have. Most implementation problems trace back to an edition chosen by budget alone. A Salesforce consultant maps requirements to the lowest edition that meets them, confirms user types and seat counts, and plans add-ons such as Marketing Cloud, CPQ or Experience Cloud only when the requirement is real. Licences are paid to Salesforce and are always separate from our fees. For Canadian organizations, data residency, PIPEDA and CASL requirements are settled during design, not after launch.
What a Salesforce implementation includes
A Canada Create™ Salesforce implementation begins with discovery workshops: how enquiries become revenue, which teams touch a record, what each role must see and what must be hidden. From that we design the data model (standard and custom objects, fields, record types and page layouts), the sales process (stages, exit criteria, forecast categories), the security model (profiles, permission sets, sharing rules), and the automation (Flows for assignment, alerts, approvals and follow-up). We build in a sandbox, migrate cleaned and deduplicated data, connect the surrounding systems, build reports and dashboards for each role, run user acceptance testing with your team, and train by role before go-live. A stabilization period follows.
Integrations and automation that make Salesforce useful
The integrations we set up most often are WordPress and Webflow forms with lead source and consent captured, call tracking so phone enquiries become leads, Outlook and Gmail for email and calendar logging, QuickBooks, Sage or NetSuite for quotes, orders and invoices, Google Ads and Meta for offline conversion uploads, marketing platforms such as Marketing Cloud, Pardot or HubSpot, and Slack for alerts and approvals. Automation is built with Flow first, with Apex only where declarative tools cannot do the job, so your administrator can maintain it.
Canadian privacy and consent in Salesforce
PIPEDA governs how personal information is collected and used, and CASL requires consent before commercial electronic messages are sent. Salesforce supports both when configured correctly: consent and preference fields on every intake, unsubscribe handling in every messaging channel, field-level security for sensitive notes, deliberate choice of data hosting region, and audit trails on records that need them. Provincial rules, including Quebec’s privacy law and Ontario’s health privacy legislation, are accounted for when they apply.
What drives the cost of Salesforce consulting
Cost depends on the clouds and edition in scope, the number of users and roles, the complexity of the security model, the amount and condition of existing data, the integrations required and how much automation is built in the first phase. Migrations from another CRM add mapping and validation work. A focused Sales Cloud implementation for a single team often runs several weeks from discovery to launch; multi-cloud projects with several integrations take longer. Every fee is quoted in writing before work starts, and you receive a proposal within one business day of a discovery call. Ongoing Salesforce administration is available monthly.

Salesforce consulting questions
What does a Salesforce consultant do?
A Salesforce consultant translates your sales and service process into objects, fields, permissions, Flows and reports, scopes the edition and licences, plans migration, connects surrounding systems and trains your team, and says when Salesforce is more platform than you need.
Is Salesforce right for a small business?
Usually not for one to twenty users with a single pipeline. HubSpot, Zoho or CS+ deliver a working system faster and at lower total cost. Salesforce fits growing and mid-sized companies with several teams, complex permissions and deep finance integrations.
Which Salesforce edition do we need?
The lowest edition that meets your requirements. Automation, customization and API limits differ by edition, and most implementation problems trace back to an edition chosen by budget alone. We map requirements to editions before recommending one.
Can you migrate us from HubSpot, Zoho, Dynamics or spreadsheets?
Yes. Data is mapped, cleaned, deduplicated and consent-mapped before import into a sandbox, validated with your team, then moved to production.
Do you build automation with code?
Flow first. Apex is used only where declarative tools cannot do the job, so your administrator can maintain the automation after we leave.
Does Salesforce comply with Canadian privacy law?
Salesforce supports PIPEDA and CASL requirements when configured correctly: consent fields, unsubscribe handling, field-level security, a deliberately chosen hosting region and audit trails. Provincial rules are accounted for when they apply.
How long does a Salesforce implementation take?
A focused Sales Cloud implementation for a single team often runs several weeks from discovery to launch. Multi-cloud projects with several integrations take longer, and your written plan includes a timeline.
What does Salesforce consulting cost?
Our implementation and optional monthly administration are quoted in writing after a discovery call. Salesforce licences are paid to Salesforce and shown separately. You receive a proposal within one business day.

A Salesforce org nobody trusts is the most expensive kind
Unused licences, duplicate records, reports that disagree and automation nobody understands are the usual signs. A short discovery call shows what your org needs and what it takes to fix it.
