Why Build a Facebook Ads Landing Page in WordPress?

Are you currently running Facebook ads? When a user clicks on your ad on Facebook, it’s essential to direct them to your WordPress site.

If they arrive at your homepage, they might lose interest or struggle to find what they need. That’s why linking to a dedicated landing page is crucial.

A landing page, often referred to as a squeeze page, is specifically designed to achieve high conversion rates. It serves as the destination for users who click on your ad, providing them with detailed information about your offering and guiding them towards the next action.

An effective landing page aligns with the design, tone, and messaging of your advertisement. It creates a sense of urgency that encourages users to take immediate action.

Incorporating images and videos can help convey complex information quickly, while including social proof, such as testimonials and reviews, can showcase why others appreciate your business.

Additionally, you can integrate opt-in forms on your Facebook Ads landing page to gather email addresses or other contact information from your visitors.

Now, let’s explore the process of creating a Facebook Ads landing page using WordPress.

Steps to Create a Facebook Ads Landing Page in WordPress

SeedProd is the top landing page plugin for WordPress, enabling you to create any type of landing page swiftly and effortlessly, without requiring coding or design expertise. It also allows you to build a dedicated landing page for Facebook Ads.

To begin, install and activate the SeedProd plugin. For detailed instructions, refer to our comprehensive guide on installing a WordPress plugin.

Important NoteAlthough SeedProd offers a free version, we will be using the Pro version for its advanced features.

Once you activate the plugin, a welcome screen will appear prompting you to enter your license key, which you can find in your SeedProd account.

After entering your license key, make sure to click the ‘Verify key’ button.

Then, scroll down until you find the ‘Create Your First Page’ button.

Click this button to begin the process.

This action will direct you to SeedProd’s landing page dashboard, where you can explore various landing page modes tailored for different page types.

To start, click the button labeled ‘+ Add New Landing Page.’

Next, select a template that will serve as the foundation for your page. SeedProd offers a wide range of stunning landing page templates categorized by campaign type.

You can browse SeedProd’s templates by clicking on one of the tabs at the top, such as ‘Lead Squeeze.’ Hover over a template to preview it by clicking the magnifying glass icon, or select it by clicking the red tick icon.

After choosing a template, you will be prompted to name your new page.

The page URL will be automatically generated, but you can modify it if needed. Be sure to save this URL for your Facebook ad later.

After clicking the ‘Save and Start Editing the Page’ button, you will be directed to SeedProd’s intuitive drag-and-drop page builder.

On the left side, you will find content blocks that allow you to add elements to your landing page, including headlines, lists, images, and buttons, while the right side displays a live preview of your page.

To design an effective landing page, customize it to align with your Facebook ad. You can easily modify elements in the preview pane by clicking on them and adding new blocks using drag and drop.

First, click on the headline to view its content on the left side of the screen. Then, you can edit it to reflect your ad. Just erase the existing text and enter your own.

Above the text box, you’ll find a formatting toolbar with options for text alignment, a slider to adjust font size, and additional features.

The Advanced tab provides further formatting capabilities, including typography settings, text color, shadow effects, spacing adjustments, and device visibility options.

First, let’s add a new background image at the top of the page. Hover your mouse over the top of the preview pane until a purple toolbar appears. Then, click the gear icon to access the settings for that section.

Here, you can update the background image to align with your Facebook advertisement. Click the red background image icon to open your WordPress media library, where you can choose or upload the image from your ad.

You can also modify the opt-in subscription box included in the template. Simply hover over the email address field and click the gear icon to access the settings for that block.

Now, you can personalize the opt-in form fields, adjust the size and alignment of the box, and change the text, size, and color of the ‘Submit’ button, as well as customize the success action.

If your promotion is time-sensitive, it’s a good idea to create a sense of urgency with a countdown timer. Find the ‘Countdown’ block and drag it onto your page.

Next, set the expiration date and time for the countdown.

After clicking the gear icon to access the block settings, you can specify the date and time for the offer’s expiration. Be sure to select the appropriate time zone.

Once you are satisfied that your landing page aligns with your Facebook ad and includes all essential information, it’s time to publish it.

To publish, click the dropdown menu next to the ‘Save’ button in the top right corner and select ‘Publish.’

Linking Your Facebook Ad to Your Landing Page

Now that your landing page is live, you can add its link to your Facebook ad. Navigate to your Facebook page to create or edit your ad.

To create a new ad, go to ‘Ad Center’ and click the ‘Create Ad’ button. Alternatively, you can view your existing ads by selecting ‘All ads.’

On the ad editing screen, look for a section labeled ‘Goal.’

This section should indicate ‘Get more website visitors.’ If it doesn’t, click the ‘Change’ button to modify it.

A prompt will appear on the screen where you can select ‘Get more website visitors’ from the available options.

Then, click the ‘Save’ button to confirm your selection.

Next, scroll down to the Website URL field.

Please enter the URL of the landing page you noted earlier.

Next, navigate to the ‘Payment Method’ section and select your preferred option.

When you are satisfied, click the ‘Promote Now’ button at the bottom of the page to launch your Facebook ad.
