It’s important to note that the payment options offered by Klarna vary based on your customer’s location. For instance, in the United States, customers can access installment and financing options, but they cannot pay in 30 days or make full payments using a credit card.

Method 1: Integrate Klarna Payments with WP Simple Pay
The simplest way to add Klarna payments to your WordPress site is by using WP Simple Pay. This is the top Stripe payment plugin for WordPress, allowing you to seamlessly collect online payments via Klarna without the need for a shopping cart.
For this tutorial, we will utilize the WP Simple Pay Pro plan, as it includes Klarna payment forms and the ‘Buy Now, Pay Later’ feature. There is also a free version of WP Simple Pay available for use.

After activating the plugin, a setup wizard will appear. Click the ‘Let’s Get Started’ button to proceed.
On the following screen, you will need to input your license key, which can be found in your WP Simple Pay account.
Next, click the ‘Activate and Continue’ button to move forward.
The plugin will then prompt you to connect your Stripe account, which is a user-friendly payment gateway for accepting online payments.
Simply click the ‘Connect with Stripe’ button to initiate the connection.
Log in to your Stripe account and follow the on-screen instructions to link the payment gateway with WP Simple Pay.

Once Stripe is connected to WP Simple Pay, you will be redirected back to the setup wizard.
In the next step, the plugin will prompt you to configure email settings. You can enable options to send payment receipts to customers, notify them about upcoming invoices, and receive payment notifications.
Enter your email address in the ‘Send to’ field and click the ‘Save and Continue’ button.
Next, you’ll reach the final step in the setup wizard. Click the ‘Create a Payment Form’ button.
How to Create a Klarna Payment Form in WP Simple Pay
You can also create new payment forms by navigating toWP Simple Pay » Add Newfrom your WordPress dashboard.
The plugin provides several pre-built form templates. To include Klarna, select the ‘Klarna (Buy Now, Pay Later) Form’ template.
Now, you can customize your payment form.
For example, in the ‘General’ tab, you can rename the form, add a description, and choose a form type.
Then, switch to the ‘Payment’ tab.
Here, you’ll find settings for payment modes and pricing options. The plugin allows you to set multiple prices, specify the product cost, choose the currency displayed in the form, and decide if you want a one-time payment or a recurring subscription.
Next, scroll down to select different payment methods.
Make sure the ‘Klarna’ option is checked. You can also include additional options like credit card and ACH Direct Debit.
Navigate to the ‘Form Fields’ tab to select the fields you want to include.
You can rearrange existing fields easily by dragging and dropping them. Additionally, more form fields are available in the dropdown menu at the top.
Once you’ve edited the form fields, go to the ‘Payment Page’ tab. WP Simple Pay allows you to set up a dedicated payment page for your Klarna form.
Ensure you check the box for ‘Enable a dedicated payment page’.
You can customize the permalink for the page, choose a color scheme, add a title and description for the form, include a logo, and modify the footer text.
After making your adjustments, publish your Klarna form. Then, visit the dedicated page to see your Klarna form in action.
Alternatively, you can embed the payment form anywhere on your website using the WP Simple Pay block.
Edit an existing page or create a new one. In the content editor, click the ‘+’ button and add the WP Simple Pay block. Then, select your form from the dropdown menu.
After that, publish your page.
You can now visit your WordPress website to see the Klarna payment form functioning.
Method 2: Integrate Klarna Payments with WooCommerce
You can easily integrate WooCommerce Klarna payments into your WordPress site. WooCommerce is the leading eCommerce platform globally and operates seamlessly with WordPress.
While WooCommerce comes with built-in payment methods, you can enhance your online store by adding the free WooCommerce Klarna Payments extension.
To start using Klarna with WooCommerce, ensure that your online store is properly set up using WooCommerce.
