Important Note:Although there is a free version of the plugin available, you will require the Pro version to create the on-site payment form that this guide discusses.
Once activated, the WP Simple Pay setup wizard will launch automatically.
Click the ‘Let’s Get Started’ button to begin.
In the first step, you will need to enter your license key.
You can locate this information in the account section of the WP Simple Pay website.
After entering the license key, click the ‘Activate and Continue’ button to proceed to the next step.
Next, you will connect WP Simple Pay to Stripe, a widely-used payment gateway that supports Giropay, as well as major credit and debit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay, and more.
When you click the ‘Connect with Stripe’ button, you will be prompted to log in to your Stripe account or create a new one. Anyone with a valid business can set up a Stripe account and accept online payments.

After logging into Stripe, you will need to configure your WP Simple Pay email settings.
The three email options have been pre-enabled for you. These options allow you to send receipts and invoice reminders to your customers, as well as payment notification emails to yourself.
Simply enter the email address for notifications and click the ‘Save and Continue’ button.
You will reach the final step of the setup wizard, where you can create your payment form. Click on the ‘Create a Payment Form’ button to begin.
How to Create a Payment Form in WordPress
You will be directed to the Add New Payment Form screen, where various payment form templates will be available.
Tip:You can also create a payment form in WP Simple Pay by navigating toWP Simple Pay » Add Newin your WordPress dashboard.
Hover over the ‘Payment Form’ template and click the ‘Use Template’ button that appears.
This will take you to a screen where you can personalize your new payment form.
In the General tab, you can customize the form’s title and description. Keep the form type as ‘On-site payment form’.
Next, click on the Payment tab and choose the payment mode as either ‘Live Mode’ or ‘Test Mode’.
‘Test Mode’ allows you to make payments without charging Giropay, enabling you to test your form to ensure it functions correctly and that emails are sent.
Remember to switch to ‘Live Mode’ after completing your testing, or you won’t be able to receive payments from your customers.
In the Price Options section, you can add various prices with distinct labels. Specify the product or service cost, the currency, and whether it’s a one-time payment or a recurring subscription, among other details.
Giropay transactions are conducted in Euros, so ensure you select ‘EUR’ from the currency drop-down menu under ‘Amount’.
Scroll down to the Payment Methods section and select all the payment options you want to include on the payment form. To view the Giropay option, change the list from ‘Popular’ to ‘All’ using the dropdown menu.
Once you locate the ‘giropay’ option, simply check the box next to it. You can also select other payment methods you wish to offer, such as card payments, ACH, Alipay, and Klarna.

Next, switch to the Form Fields tab and choose the fields you want to display on the payment form.
The default fields will suit many websites, but there are numerous additional fields available, including name, phone number, coupon, and more.
After adding the necessary fields, be sure to click the ‘Publish’ button. You are now prepared to integrate the payment form into your WordPress site. There are two methods to accomplish this.
Create a Dedicated Giropay Payment Page
