When you activate the plugin, it will start the setup wizard. To configure the plugin with the best settings, just follow the instructions displayed on your screen. If you previously connected Google Search Console during the setup, AIOSEO will automatically begin retrieving your data.

After adding your website to your Search Console account, the next step is to connect All in One SEO to Google Search Console.

Next, navigate to the ‘Content Rankings’ tab.

Here, you will find a list of your content in Google Search along with metrics such as loss or gain points, percentage drop, and the date it was last updated.

To identify the posts that have experienced the most decay, sort the list by the ‘Loss’ or ‘Drop %’ columns.

The ‘Loss’ column indicates how many positions your content has fallen in search rankings, while the ‘Drop %’ column presents this decline as a percentage. Sorting by either column will quickly highlight your most decayed content.

You can view the content that has seen the greatest drop in rankings over the past 12 months. The content with the highest loss or drop in points has decayed the most.

A popup will appear; simply switch to the ‘Compare’ tab and select a custom date range for your analysis.

In this example, we analyze the last six months in comparison to the previous six months. You can also utilize the date picker to create custom date ranges.

Simply click the ‘Apply’ button to proceed.

Search Console will now display a comparison of your website’s performance in search results for the selected timeframe.

Ensure that all the boxes at the top of the ‘Performance’ overview columns are checked so you can view positions, impressions, clicks, and click-through rate (CTR).

Next, scroll down to the data table section and switch to the ‘Pages’ view. This will help you identify the content that has experienced decay.

In the results, you can sort the ‘Position Difference’ column to discover which content has fallen the most in search rankings.
