Method 1: Display Trustpilot Reviews Using Reviews Feed Pro (Recommended)
The first method for showcasing Trustpilot reviews involves the Reviews Feed Pro plugin by Smash Balloon. It’s the simplest WordPress plugin for automatically displaying customer reviews from various platforms.
In addition to Trustpilot, you can also showcase reviews from Yelp, TripAdvisor, Google, WordPress.org, and your Facebook page.

Step 1: Install and Configure the Reviews Feed Pro Plugin
The initial step involves installing and configuring the Reviews Feed Pro Plugin. For this guide, you will need either the Plus or Elite plan, as the Trustpilot feature is included in those options. Alternatively, you can opt for the All Access Bundle if you wish to utilize Smash Balloon’s social media plugins as well.
After completing your purchase, proceed to install and activate the plugin. For detailed instructions, refer to our article on how to install a WordPress plugin.
Once the plugin is activated, ensure that you activate your license key. Enter your license key in the plugin’s Getting Started wizard and click ‘Activate.’
Step 2: Link Your WordPress Website to Trustpilot
At this stage, you can begin connecting your WordPress website, online store, or marketplace with your Trustpilot account.
To do this, navigate to Reviews Feed » All Feeds and click ‘+ Add New.’
On the following page, select ‘+ Add Source.’
Keep in mind that you can select multiple sources to gather your customer reviews.
A popup will appear prompting you to select a review platform.
Choose ‘Trustpilot’ and then click ‘Next’ located at the bottom right corner.
In the subsequent popup window, enter the URL of your Trustpilot review page in the provided field.
After that, click the ‘Finish’ button.
If the connection is successful, your Trustpilot page will be displayed in the Add Source section.
Now, simply click ‘Next’ to proceed.
Step 3: Personalize the Trustpilot Review Cards
Once the setup is complete, you can choose a template to showcase your Trustpilot reviews. There are seven options available: Default, Simple Cards, Masonry, Single Review, Showcase Carousel, Carousel, and Grid Carousel.
All templates are customizable, allowing you to tailor them to your specific requirements.
After making your selection, click ‘Next.’
You are now in the Trustpilot review template editor.
In this step, we will focus on the five settings within the Customize tab: Templates, Layout, Header, Reviews, and Load More Button.
If you wish to change templates later, you can do so using the ‘Templates’ setting.
Please note that any customizations made to the previous template will be reset.
To modify the appearance of the template, navigate to the ‘Layout’ section. Here, you can choose between different card layouts such as List, Masonry, or Carousel.
You can also modify the spacing between reviews to enhance readability.
As you scroll down, you will find options to customize the number of reviews displayed. This can be adjusted based on whether the site is being viewed on a desktop, mobile, or tablet.
Additionally, you can set a maximum character limit for each review to control how much text is shown.
In the Header settings, you can customize the top section of the review card and choose which elements to display.
For instance, you can feature the average rating of your Trustpilot reviews, giving visitors a quick snapshot of your overall reputation.
In the Reviews section, you can choose to enable or disable elements such as Author and Date, Rating, Images or Videos, and the Review Paragraph.
You can also rearrange these elements according to your preferences.
The last option in the Customize tab is the Load More Button, which is useful if you have numerous reviews and prefer not to show them all at once.
You can personalize the button’s text, color, and spacing to align with your website’s design.
Step 4: Set Up the Display Settings for Reviews
In certain cases, you may want to selectively display reviews. This approach helps ensure that potential customers see a favorable selection of positive reviews, enhancing their first impression.
Alternatively, you might prefer to showcase the most recent reviews first, allowing visitors to access the latest feedback on your products or services.
To adjust these settings, navigate to the ‘Settings’ tab located next to the Customize tab. In this section, we will concentrate on the Sort, Filters, Moderation, and Language options.
If you wish to control which types of reviews appear at the top, head to the ‘Sort’ menu.
Within this setting, you can choose to display reviews chronologically, either starting with the oldest or the newest. You can also sort them by star ratings, showing either the highest or lowest ratings first. If you have no specific preference, select ‘Randomize’ to mix them up.
To manage which reviews are visible, access the ‘Filters’ menu.
Here, you can filter reviews based on specific criteria, such as star ratings and keywords. This feature is particularly useful if you want to highlight reviews for a specific product on its dedicated page.
Additionally, the Moderation setting allows you to selectively display only certain reviews on your website.
To get started, activate the ‘Enable’ button. You can then choose between Allow List mode, which lets you select reviews to display, or Block List mode, which allows you to hide specific reviews.
Please be aware that the reviews plugin can only display the most recent 100 reviews from Trustpilot due to API restrictions.
For most businesses, this limit is sufficient, especially since you can prioritize displaying the newest or highest-rated reviews first.
If you operate a multilingual website and wish to showcase reviews in a specific language, follow these steps.
Navigate to the ‘Language’ section in the Settings tab and select your preferred language from the dropdown list.
After configuring the review cards, use the device preview buttons located in the top right corner to view how they appear on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, ensuring a consistent look across all platforms.
Once you are happy with the review cards, simply click the ‘Save’ button to apply your changes.
Step 5: Add the Trustpilot Reviews Widget to Your WordPress Page or Post
Now, let’s proceed to integrate your Trustpilot reviews into your website pages.
To get started, click the ‘Embed’ button located next to ‘Save.’ This will open the Embed feed popup.
You can display your Trustpilot reviews in two ways: by using a shortcode or by utilizing the built-in WordPress block or widget.
Among these options, the block or widget method is the most straightforward.
Simply click the ‘Add to a Page’ button. Depending on your WordPress theme, you might also see an option labeled ‘Add to a Widget.’
Next, choose the page where you want to display the reviews. Once you’ve made your selection, click the ‘Add’ button at the bottom of the popup.
You will be taken to the WordPress block editor for that page, where you will find instructions on how to add the Reviews Feed block.
Just click the black ‘+’ add block button anywhere on the page and type ‘Reviews Feed’ in the search bar.
After that, drag and drop the Reviews Feed block to your preferred location on the page.
Finally, click the ‘Update’ button to complete the process of adding the block.
You can also follow the same steps to display the reviews in a widget area, such as the sidebar. For further details, refer to our guide on adding and using widgets in WordPress.
The shortcode option is perfect for displaying reviews in areas where blocks cannot be added, such as classic sidebar widgets, footer sections, or certain page builder modules.
To proceed, click the ‘Copy’ button, then navigate to the page or post where you wish to display the Trustpilot reviews.
Next, use the shortcode block to paste the copied shortcode, as shown here:
Similar to the previous method, simply click the ‘Update’ button to finalize the changes. That’s all there is to it!
Here’s an example of how the Trustpilot review card might appear on your website:
Method 2: Show Trustpilot Reviews Using the Trustpilot Plugin (Free)
This second method utilizes the official WordPress Trustpilot Reviews plugin, allowing you to add widgets known as ‘TrustBoxes’ to your website.
Keep in mind that the free version of this plugin primarily focuses on gathering new reviews rather than showcasing existing ones. Additionally, the customization options are more limited compared to the Reviews Feed Pro.
Step 1: Install the Trustpilot Reviews Plugin
First, log in to your Trustpilot business account and go to the ‘Integrations’ menu. In the Ecommerce section, select ‘WordPress.’
Note:The Trustpilot Reviews plugin has not yet been tested with the latest version of WordPress. However, during our testing, the plugin functioned flawlessly.

You will find a ‘Download zip file’ button that allows you to access the Trustpilot plugin package.
Simply click the button to install the plugin in your WordPress admin panel. You can refer to our guide on how to install and activate a WordPress plugin for detailed instructions.
At this point, the Trustpilot plugin should be successfully installed and activated.
Step 2: Link Your WordPress Site to Your Trustpilot Account
Open the Trustpilot tab in your WordPress dashboard and click ‘Log in with Trustpilot’ to connect the plugin to your account.
Next, you will see a notification regarding cookie placement from Trustpilot.
Simply check the ‘I understand and accept’ box and click ‘Confirm’ to proceed.
Step 3: Add and Personalize Your TrustBox Widget
You can now begin adding a Trustpilot review card, known as the TrustBox, to your website.
All you need to do is select a TrustBox from the left panel and drag it to the preview area on the page.
You can explore various TrustBox options by using the dropdown menus located in the ‘Choose a TrustBox’ section.
Important Note:If you are using the free Trustpilot plan, the only available TrustBox is the Review Collector. This TrustBox encourages users to visit Trustpilot to leave reviews for your business, rather than displaying testimonials from past customers.
To access additional options, consider upgrading to a paid Trustpilot plan.
You can also change the preview page to different sections, such as product categories or individual product pages, by selecting from the menu next to ‘Preview on:’
To personalize the TrustBox, simply hover over the TrustBox element and click ‘Customize.’
You will find various TrustBox settings on the left side, which allow you to adjust the positioning, spacing, size, and language.
Step 4: Publish the TrustBox on Your Website
Once you are satisfied with the appearance of the TrustBox widgets, click the ‘Publish changes’ button located in the top right corner.
